It all started when...

My husband and I fell in love with this property from the very first time we saw it! There was just something special about it. Perhaps it was that the warm sandstone walls surrounded by the vibrant coloured garden reminded us of our trip to
Tuscany, Italy.

Set on over ½ an acre, the pool surrounded by trees due to the nature reserve at the back, the beautiful established trees and so much more. That was over 16 years ago now!

It’s welcoming, has beautiful views to both the Dandenong’s and the Yarra Valley area and is nestled in a quiet no-through road. It’s light and airy and the many windows enable the garden to come indoors. When friends or guest stay they all comment on the tranquillity of the place and how they could just sit, linger, and enjoy the peace and calm.

Given that we both love people and travel. And that our home was now bigger than we required! Most importantly, that we were able to easily create a very private space for the Villa.

This got us thinking! Why don’t we create a space for others to book in, come and stay and also enjoy the tranquillity?

So with the guidance of Mary, friend & mentor we began our project and we had our first guest stay on 28th November 2013.

It has been such an enjoyably creative project. Each step was taken with loving care for both the pleasure and comfort of our guests. Be it for a short or long term stay, we wanted it to be home away from home for our guests.

Baringa Villa is in a leafy green part of Croydon North.
